I offer flexibility in how we work together. Whether you prefer face-to-face sessions, online meetings, telephone conversations, or a combination of these, I’m here to adapt to what feels right for you. This is your journey, and I’m here to support you in a way that empowers you to take the lead.

What situations do I work with?

Whatever you are facing, I'd be more than happy to discuss how I can support you, from more complex situations to low-mood, anxiety and self-confidence. Below are some of the common situations I work with and ways in which I am able to help my clients begin to make lasting change in their lives.

  • Relationship difficulties can affect confidence, communication, trust and emotional wellbeing. Therapy offers a supportive space to explore patterns within relationships, improve understanding and develop healthier ways of relating to yourself and others.

  • Anxiety can impact thoughts, emotions, physical wellbeing and everyday life. Together, we explore what may be contributing to feelings of worry, overwhelm or fear, while developing greater awareness, emotional understanding and more effective ways of coping.

  • Depression and low mood can leave people feeling disconnected, exhausted or stuck. Therapy provides a reflective and supportive space to explore emotional experiences, underlying patterns and the factors that may be affecting wellbeing and daily life.

  • Stress can build gradually over time and affect both emotional and physical health. Therapy helps create space to slow down, understand sources of pressure and explore healthier ways of responding to stress and overwhelm.

  • Workplace stress can affect confidence, relationships, decision-making and overall wellbeing. Therapy offers space to reflect on workplace pressures, communication, boundaries, expectations and the emotional impact of work-related experiences.

  • Bereavement can affect people in very different ways and there is no right way to grieve. Therapy provides a compassionate space to process loss, make sense of emotions and explore the impact grief may be having on everyday life and relationships.

  • Family relationships can be complex and emotionally demanding. Therapy offers a safe and reflective space to explore family dynamics, communication patterns, boundaries and the emotional impact these relationships may have.

  • Traumatic experiences can continue to affect thoughts, emotions, relationships and feelings of safety long after events have happened. Therapy supports people to explore experiences at a pace that feels manageable, with a focus on safety, understanding and emotional processing.

  • Work-related stress can arise from pressure, responsibility, difficult workplace dynamics or feeling unable to switch off from work. Therapy provides space to reflect on these experiences, strengthen boundaries and develop healthier, more sustainable ways of coping.

Sessions and booking

Located in Brighouse, I serve the surrounding areas of Rastrick, Halifax, Liversedge, Huddersfield, Mirfield and further. With flexibility for online therapy or face-to-face sessions in my cosy therapy room, I am able to provide therapy for people at a time and place that’s most convenient to you. Sessions cost £60 for 50 minutes, with a package booking option of six sessions for £330 - reducing each session to £55. I offer a no-pressure and no-obligation initial conversation of up to 20 minutes before you decide to proceed. This gives you the opportunity to see how it feels speaking with me, ask any questions and consider whether the relationship feels comfortable and supportive, as the therapeutic relationship is one of the strongest predictors of successful therapy.

Meet Helen Jordan

I have over ten years of experience supporting people through many different challenges, including anxiety, depression, trauma, grief, betrayal, low self-esteem and relationship difficulties. I know reaching out for support can feel daunting, so I aim to offer a space that feels safe, compassionate and easy to talk in.

My approach is integrative and IFS-informed, which means our sessions can be shaped around you and your needs. I’m also an accredited member of the BACP, reflecting my commitment to safe, ethical and professional practice. Alongside my client work, I teach and mentor counselling students and provide clinical supervision for other practitioners, helping me stay grounded in ongoing learning, reflection and care.
