Supervision for Counsellors
Are you looking for supervision where you feel supported, gently challenged and safe enough to bring all of your practice into the space?
I offer clinical supervision for trainee and qualified counsellors, supporting safe, ethical and competent counselling practice. I see supervision as two professionals working collaboratively, with space to explore client work, ethical dilemmas, relational dynamics, personal responses and the feelings that can be hard to verbalise.
“Helen is very energetic, I found her delivery of the training to be very clear and easy to understand. I really enjoyed the course.”

Supporting the counsellor behind the work
Supervision is not just a place to review client work. It is a space to feel supported, gently challenged and understood as both a practitioner and a person. I see our relationship as two professionals working collaboratively to support your practice, your confidence and your wellbeing.
In supervision, you are welcome to bring the full reality of the work. That might include client material, ethical dilemmas, uncertainty, emotional responses, personal material that may be affecting practice, or any challenges that can feel hard to verbalise. There is space for depth, reflection and care. There is also space for humour, honesty and celebrating your successes, because your growth and development matter.
“My aim is to offer a respectful and supportive relationship where you can reflect honestly, stay grounded in your work and continue growing in confidence as a counsellor.”
Together, we will explore
Client work and case material
Relational dynamics between you and your clients
Ethical questions and professional boundaries
Interventions and clinical decision-making
Self-care and practitioner wellbeing
Best practice and professional development
Wider contextual issues affecting the work
I support safe, effective and ethically grounded practice, while helping you feel more confident, reflective and connected to yourself as a practitioner.

My approach as a supervisor
I am a Level 6 qualified Clinical Supervisor, an accredited member of the BACP and an integrative counsellor with a Person-Centred underpinning.
My supervision style is relational, collaborative and reflective. I support counsellors to stay grounded, maintain professional and ethical boundaries, explore client work and relationships, and reflect on the personal and professional processes that may be influencing practice.
I use an integrative approach, drawing on aspects of Person-Centred practice, psychodynamic thinking, Inner Child work, CBT, TA, Gestalt and solution-focused approaches where helpful. I also train counselling students from Levels 2 to 4, which keeps my practice rooted in ongoing learning, curiosity and development.
“As a trainer I feel like I can approach Helen with even the difficult stuff and I know that it will be handled with care and sensitivity.”
