How I work
My work supports people to understand themselves, their relationships, and the dynamics around them with greater clarity. Through reflection and thoughtful conversation, we explore the patterns that shape how people think, feel, and relate to others.
Rather than focusing only on surface challenges, I create space to look more deeply at the experiences and influences that shape behaviour and relationships. This deeper understanding supports meaningful, lasting growth, helping people develop greater self-awareness, emotional resilience, and confidence in how they live, work and lead.
Meet Helen Jordan…
When we understand ourselves and how we relate to others, everything else begins to shift.
I’m an Accredited BACP counsellor, psychotherapist, and supervisor with over ten years’ experience. My training includes first-class BSc (Hons) in Counselling Studies, an Advanced Diploma in Counselling, and a Level 6 qualification in Clinical Counselling supervision. My work is grounded in helping people develop greater self-awareness, strengthen relationships, and navigate challenges with honesty, clarity and confidence.
Relational framework
All growth begins within, and is shaped by the quality of our relationships. Through a relational framework, I support individuals and organisations to better understand themselves and others, strengthen emotional awareness, and navigate challenges in how they relate, live and work.
My work is not only about managing systems. It is about understanding how patterns in relationships are formed and repeated, and how change becomes possible. It offers a reflective and supportive space where people can make sense of their experiences, strengthen their sense of self, and grow in confidence, resilience and the way they relate to others.

Work with Organisations
Supporting healthier leadership and stronger organisational relationships through tailored sessions for leaders, managers, and teams across a range of organisations.
Organisations are shaped by the quality of relationships within them. Leadership pressure, communication challenges, and team dynamics can influence how people work together and how decisions are made.
Through reflective work with leaders and development work with teams, I create space to explore these dynamics more openly. By understanding the patterns that influence behaviour and relationships at work, organisations are better able to navigate challenges, strengthen collaboration, and build healthier, more effective emotional cultures.
Psychotherapy for Individuals
A reflective and supportive space for people seeking greater understanding, resilience, and personal growth.
Many people come to therapy when they feel overwhelmed, stuck, or are facing challenges such as anxiety, depression, trauma, relationship difficulties, or significant life changes. Through one-to-one psychotherapy, I offer a calm and supportive space to explore these experiences more deeply.
By understanding the patterns and influences that shape how we think, feel, and relate to others, people are better able to process difficult experiences, strengthen their sense of self, and develop greater emotional resilience. My work is not only about managing symptoms. It is about supporting deeper self-understanding and the confidence to move forward with greater clarity and stability.
Pastoral Care Training
Training and consultancy supporting churches and Christian organisations in developing safe, thoughtful approaches to pastoral care.
Pastoral leaders are often supporting people through complex emotional experiences such as grief, trauma, or significant life changes. Through training and reflective learning, I support churches and pastoral teams to develop greater awareness of how trauma can shape people’s experiences, relationships, and wellbeing.
By strengthening relational awareness and psychological understanding within pastoral care, churches and Christian communities are better able to respond with sensitivity, wisdom, and care. This supports leaders and teams in creating environments where people feel safe, understood, and supported.
Supervision for Counsellors
Reflective clinical supervision supporting counsellors and psychotherapists to develop their practice with confidence, clarity, and care.
Supervision provides an essential reflective space for counsellors and psychotherapists to explore their work and continue developing professionally. Through collaborative supervision sessions, I create space to reflect on client work, consider ethical practice, and deepen clinical understanding. This process supports practitioners in navigating the complexities of therapeutic work while growing in confidence, awareness, and professional integrity.
Supervision at Develop Within is designed to both support and challenge in thoughtful ways, helping counsellors and psychotherapists strengthen their practice and continue developing as reflective, ethical professionals.
